This EASA Part-147 approved differences training course, Boeing 777-200/300 (RR Trent 800) Differences from Boeing 777-200/300 (GE 90), is designed for licensed and trainee aircraft maintenance engineers who already hold a type rating on the base configuration and require differences training to add the modification to their B1/B2 licence. Delivered by AVIET under EASA approval MT.147.08 in line with EASA Part-66 differences training requirements, the course highlights the specific variations in airframe, systems, and engine configuration between the configurations, focusing on the areas where maintenance procedures and technical characteristics differ.

Trainees review the relevant ATA chapters affected by the differences, ensuring a clear understanding of the changes in systems architecture, components, and maintenance practices covered by this course.

Practical differences training for Boeing 777-200/300 (RR Trent 800) Differences from Boeing 777-200/300 (GE 90) takes place at AVIET’s partner-established MRO facilities, where trainees complete supervised, hands-on tasks that highlight the practical differences between the configurations, including component and systems variations, servicing points, and inspection requirements unique to each configuration.

This hands-on phase ensures trainees can confidently apply the differences knowledge gained in the classroom to real maintenance tasks in line with Part-147 standards.

On completion of the theoretical phase, trainees sit a closed-book, multiple-choice examination aligned with EASA Part-66 differences training requirements, with a minimum pass mark of 75%.

A minimum of 90% attendance is required throughout the theoretical phase of this differences training course to be eligible for the final examination.
