This EASA Part-147 approved differences training course covers the Airbus a330-200/300 (rr trent 700) to airbus a330-200/300 (ge cf6) differences, for licensed and trainee aircraft maintenance engineers who already hold a type rating on Airbus A330-200/300 (RR Trent 700) and require differences training to add Airbus A330-200/300 (GE CF6) to their B1/B2 licence. Delivered by AVIET under EASA approval MT.147.08 in line with EASA Part-66 differences training requirements, the course highlights the specific variations in airframe, systems, and engine configuration between the two types, focusing on the areas where maintenance procedures and technical characteristics differ.
Trainees review the relevant ATA chapters affected by the differences, ensuring a clear understanding of the changes in systems architecture, components, and maintenance practices between Airbus A330-200/300 (RR Trent 700) and Airbus A330-200/300 (GE CF6).
Practical differences training for this course takes place at AVIET’s partner-established MRO facilities, where trainees complete supervised, hands-on tasks that highlight the practical differences between Airbus A330-200/300 (RR Trent 700) and Airbus A330-200/300 (GE CF6), including component and systems variations, servicing points, and inspection requirements unique to the new configuration.
This hands-on phase ensures trainees can confidently apply the differences knowledge gained in the classroom to real maintenance tasks in line with Part-147 standards.
On completion of the theoretical phase, trainees sit a closed-book, multiple-choice examination aligned with EASA Part-66 differences training requirements, with a minimum pass mark of 75%.
The practical phase is assessed through supervised task completion and a practical assessment confirming competence on the differences between Airbus A330-200/300 (RR Trent 700) and Airbus A330-200/300 (GE CF6).
A minimum of 90% attendance is required throughout the theoretical phase of this differences training course to be eligible for the final examination.
A minimum of 90% attendance is required for all scheduled practical sessions, with sign-in records maintained in accordance with AVIET’s Part-147 quality procedures.
